1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ShippingCostCalculator.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). The term “Service” refers to the website located at ShippingCostCalculator.com, all associated tools, features, and content provided by Shipping Cost Calculator LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms as they may be updated from time to time.

2. Description of Service

ShippingCostCalculator.com is a shipping technology platform that provides two core services:

• Rate Comparison: An informational tool that compares published and discounted shipping rates across carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL Express. Rate comparison data is sourced from publicly available carrier rate tables and may not reflect real-time pricing, promotional discounts, account-specific rates, or all applicable surcharges.

• Label Purchasing: A paid service available to subscribed users that enables the purchase of discounted shipping labels from carriers through our third-party shipping API provider, Shippo (Shippo, Inc.). Labels are purchased from the carrier on your behalf; the carrier provides the actual transportation service.

• Shipment Tracking: Each purchased label includes a public tracking page accessible via a unique, unguessable link. Tracking pages display shipment status, carrier information, estimated delivery dates, and partial address details (city, state, and ZIP code). You may optionally add recipient email addresses (up to three per shipment) to receive automated tracking status notifications. Recipients may unsubscribe from notifications at any time via a link in each email.

• Branded Tracking: Subscribed users may customize the appearance of their tracking pages and tracking notification emails with their business name, logo, brand colors, custom messages, social media links, and support contact information. Any support contact information (email, phone) and social media links you provide will be publicly visible to anyone who views your tracking pages.

• Shopify Integration: Subscribed users may connect their Shopify store to import orders, purchase shipping labels, and sync fulfillment status back to Shopify. When you connect your Shopify store, you authorize us to access your store’s order data (including customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, and order details) solely for the purpose of creating shipping labels and managing fulfillments. You are the data controller for your customers’ personal data and are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with your own privacy obligations to your customers.

We are a technology platform, not a carrier, freight forwarder, or transportation broker. We do not transport, handle, or take possession of any parcels or shipments. The carrier you select (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL Express) is solely responsible for the transportation and delivery of your shipments. Payments for labels and subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full payment card numbers.

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Service may require you to create an account by providing a valid email address and password, or by signing in with Google. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a unique identifier from Google to create or link your account; your Google password is never shared with us. By using Google Sign-In, you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service. By creating an account, you agree to the following:

• You will provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it current.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including accounts that we believe violate these Terms.

4. Rate Accuracy Disclaimer

Shipping rates displayed on the Service are estimates based on published carrier rate tables and negotiated commercial rates, and are provided for informational purposes only. Actual carrier pricing may differ from the rates shown due to factors including but not limited to:

• Real-time rate changes or carrier rate updates

• Account-specific discounts, surcharges, or negotiated rates

• Dimensional weight adjustments

• Accessorial charges (residential delivery, signature confirmation, etc.)

• Fuel surcharge fluctuations

• Carrier promotions or temporary pricing

• Address correction fees or delivery area surcharges

• Errors or delays in our data

Rates displayed during rate comparison are estimates only. The binding rate for a label purchase is determined and confirmed at the time of purchase. Carriers may apply additional adjustments after label purchase if shipping details (weight, dimensions, address, service type, or package type) are found to be inaccurate. You are responsible for any additional charges resulting from carrier adjustments.

Discounted rates available through our label purchasing service are commercial rates negotiated with carriers and third-party shipping platforms. These discounted rates may change at any time without notice based on carrier pricing updates, fuel surcharge changes, or modifications to our negotiated agreements. We do not guarantee any specific level of discount or savings compared to carrier retail rates. Past savings are not indicative of future savings.

We are not responsible for any discrepancies between the rates shown on the Service and the actual charges assessed by any carrier. Carrier names, logos, service marks, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any carrier.

5. Shipping Label Terms

When you purchase a shipping label through the Service, the label is generated by our third-party shipping API provider (Shippo) and fulfilled by the carrier you select. You acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Shipper of Record: You are the shipper of record for all labels purchased through your account. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all shipment information, including sender and recipient addresses, package weight, dimensions, and declared value.

• Package Contents: You are solely responsible for ensuring that the contents of your shipments comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and carrier restrictions. Prohibited items include but are not limited to: alcohol, firearms, cannabis or marijuana products, pharmaceuticals (restricted on certain carrier accounts), counterfeit goods, items subject to OFAC sanctions, and any goods prohibited by the carrier or by law. Shipping prohibited items may result in seizure, fines, or criminal penalties.

• International Shipments: For international shipments, you are solely responsible for all customs declarations, documentation, duties, taxes, and compliance with export/import regulations. We do not guarantee customs clearance.

• Carrier and API Terms of Service: All shipments are subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier providing the transportation service. Labels are generated through our shipping API provider, Shippo (Shippo, Inc.). By purchasing a label, you agree to be bound by and are responsible for compliance with the applicable carrier’s terms of service and conditions of carriage, as well as Shippo’s terms of service.

• Carrier Liability: Default carrier liability for loss or damage is generally limited to $100 per package for USPS, UPS, and FedEx domestic shipments. Actual coverage varies by carrier and service. If the value of your shipment exceeds the default coverage, you are responsible for obtaining adequate shipping insurance or declaring a higher value (where available).

• Claims: Claims for lost, damaged, or delayed shipments must be filed directly with the carrier in accordance with the carrier’s claims process and deadlines. We may assist with filing claims through our shipping API provider, but we are not liable for carrier performance, loss, damage, or delay.

You use the label purchasing service to ship items at your own risk through the carriers that provide the transportation services. You are solely responsible for obtaining any insurance to cover anticipated losses and bear sole responsibility for any and all liability that results from your shipments.

6. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Your use of Stripe’s payment services is subject to Stripe’s terms of service.

Subscription Billing

The Business plan is billed at $4.99 per month. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current subscription rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings page. All charges are in U.S. dollars (USD).

Label Purchases

Shipping label purchases are charged individually at the time of purchase via Stripe invoice. The charge amount includes the carrier shipping rate and any applicable platform fees. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current. If your payment method fails, we may be unable to process label purchases or renew your subscription.

7. Pricing and Rates

Rates displayed on the Service are estimates until a label purchase is confirmed. When we display a comparison between a “Retail Rate” and a discounted rate, the Retail Rate reflects the carrier’s then-current published standard rate for the applicable service. We obtain retail rate data from publicly available carrier rate schedules and update this data periodically.

Discounted rates available through our platform are commercial or negotiated rates that may differ from carrier retail rates. The availability and amount of any discount depends on factors including carrier pricing policies, our negotiated agreements, service type, package characteristics, and shipping route. We do not guarantee any specific discount amount or that discounts will remain available at any particular level.

Carriers may apply additional surcharges, adjustments, or corrections after label purchase (including but not limited to dimensional weight adjustments, address correction fees, delivery area surcharges, and fuel surcharges). You are responsible for any such additional charges. Subscription fees are billed separately from shipping label costs and do not include the cost of shipping labels.

8. Refunds and Cancellation

Label Voids

Unused shipping labels may be voided within 30 days of purchase for a full refund to your original payment method. Labels that have been scanned by the carrier or used for shipping cannot be voided. Voided labels are no longer valid for shipping. Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings page or through the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, your access to paid features continues through the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to deliver its functionality. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be shared with the following providers as necessary to provide the services you request:

• Shippo (Shippo, Inc.) — Provides the shipping API used to generate labels, verify addresses, and obtain shipping rates. Your use is subject to Shippo’s terms of service.

• Stripe, Inc. — Processes all payments including subscription billing and label purchases. We do not store full payment card numbers. Your use is subject to Stripe’s terms.

• Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — Provides optional account authentication via OAuth 2.0. When you choose to sign in with Google, your email address and a unique account identifier are shared with us to create or link your account. Google receives standard OAuth data (redirect URI, authorization code, client ID) during the sign-in process. Your use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

• Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC) — Provides automated bot detection on rate comparison and label purchasing features. reCAPTCHA v3 loads JavaScript in your browser and collects behavioral and device data to distinguish humans from bots. Because the reCAPTCHA badge is hidden on the Service, the following disclosure is required: This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

• Geoapify — Provides address autocomplete suggestions when entering shipping addresses. Partial address text and country codes are sent directly from your browser to Geoapify’s API. See Geoapify’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

• Shopify (Shopify Inc.) — When you connect your Shopify store, Shopify provides order data (customer names, emails, addresses, and order details) to us via its API. We send fulfillment data (tracking numbers and carrier information) back to Shopify when you ship an order. Your use of the Shopify integration is subject to Shopify’s Terms of Service.

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Provides cloud infrastructure (hosting and database services) and file storage (for branded tracking logos). All application data is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States.

• Shipping Carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Express) — Provide the actual transportation and delivery services. Each shipment is subject to the applicable carrier’s terms and conditions of carriage.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and external resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or any connected systems.

• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar means to access or harvest data from the Service beyond normal usage patterns.

• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.

• Use the Service for any commercial purpose that competes directly with the Service without our prior written consent.

• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or using the Service in a manner that could harm us, other users, or third parties.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, compilation of data, code, and the overall look and feel of the Service are owned by Shipping Cost Calculator LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Carrier rate data displayed on the Service is compiled from publicly available sources. Individual carrier names, trademarks, and service marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our brand, logo, domain name, or other proprietary information.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any shipping rate, delivery estimate, service description, or other information provided through the Service. We do not guarantee delivery times, carrier performance, or customs clearance for international shipments. We do not warrant that discounted shipping rates will remain available at any specific level or that any particular savings will be achieved.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shipping Cost Calculator LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by shipping carriers; customs issues or import/export restrictions; carrier rate adjustments or surcharges applied after label purchase; or failures or disruptions of third-party services (including Shippo and Stripe).

In no event shall our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100 USD) or the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Shipping Cost Calculator LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your shipments (including claims related to package contents, customs declarations, or carrier disputes), or your violation of any rights of a third party.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page will be updated to reflect the date of the most recent changes.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice on the Service.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If you have an active subscription, termination by us without cause will not result in charges for any subsequent billing period.

The following sections shall survive any termination of these Terms: Rate Accuracy Disclaimer, Shipping Label Terms, Shopify Integration, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
